Triton Sports Wrap – April 29
The Triton girls tennis team was almost perfect Wednesday evening.
The host Trojans lost a total of just three games in blanking North Judson 5-0.
Leading the way for Triton was Kaelyn Mason and Shayla May at the top two singles spots in the lineup. Mason won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 and May posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 for the Trojans.
Quinn Downing notched a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3 for the singles sweep.
The team of Kylie Mason and Kolbie Mason won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. The duo of Emma Ross and Hannah Wvnemacher won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Triton improves to 6-1 on the season.
Triton won the junior varsity action 4-2.
The Trojans host New Prairie in a conference match Thursday.
Jimmies Blank Trojans
Jimtown picked up a 10-0 win in six innings over the host Trojans.
Jake Grove fired a three-hitter as the Jimmies posted the shutout in Northern State Conference play.
Nick Floyd had three hits and four RBI and CJ Holman two hits and two RBI for the winners.
Cordale Keyser, Gabe McPherson and Grant Stichter each had a hit for Triton. Nate Flenar took the pitching loss.
Triton plays at NSC foe Culver on Friday evening.
