Fredrick L. Campbell Sr.
Fredrick L. Campbell, Sr., 86, of Ligonier, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Avalon Village, Ligonier. He was born on May 23, 1928 to George and Erma (Roe) Campbell. On Aug. 28, 1948 Fredrick married Ruby Stump. She survives.
He established Campbell’s Garage in 1958. Mr. Campbell enjoyed working and serving the community. He enjoyed attending auctions, traveling, and vacationing in Florida. Fred was a past member of the Sheriff’s Merit Board and the Goshen Moose.
Surviving are his wife: four children: Linda (Anthony) Campbell-Jimenez, Angola; Peggy Campbell, Kendallville; Daniel (Mary) Campbell; Fred M. (Connie) Campbell; 20 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three siblings: Phyllis Burnworth, Cromwell; George Campbell, Goshen; and James Campbell, Galen, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Harold Campbell.
Time for visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, May 1, and one hour prior to the service at Yeager Funeral Home. The service will be held in Mr. Campbell’s honor at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, with Pastor John Lutton officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Wilmot.
