Warsaw Baseball Falls To Columbia City
WARSAW – The Warsaw baseball team came up on the short end of an 8-4 final Friday to visiting Columbia City.
Sterling Hay led the offense for the Tigers with three hits.
Tyler LaFollette, Kevin Hawley and Marcello Rodriguez each had two hits for Warsaw.
Jonathan Murphy took the pitching loss for the Tigers, who drop to 1-3.
The Warsaw junior varsity posted a 29-0 win. Jordan Steffensmeier had five hits, including two doubles, for the winners. Collin Marshall and Alex Miller each had three hits and Jordan Jones collected the pitching win for the JV Tigers, who are now 3-1.
Warsaw opens Northern Lakes Conference play Monday at Wawasee at 5 p.m.
