Tennis Take Opener At West Noble
The Whitko girls tennis team opened its season with a 3-2 win at West Noble Tuesday.
The Wildcats took all three singles matches to claim the match.
Winning for Whitko in singles play were Mikayla Finley, Delaney Keim and Aurelia Slusher.
West Noble took the pair of doubles matches. Competing in doubles for the Wildcats were the team of Jackie Warstler and Morgan Keim and the duo of Blair Creamer and Natalie Inholtz.
Whitko hosts Northfield Thursday.
Hart Leads Softball To Big Win
The Whitko softball team was clicking on all cylinders Tuesday night.
The Wildcats rolled past host Fort Wayne South Side 20-0 in five innings in a non-conference contest.
Kennedy Hart was the star of the night by firing a no-hitter in the circle for Whitko in the victory.
Tori Silveus led the offense with four hits for the Wildcats.
Whitko hosts West Noble Wednesday night.
Bechtold Leads Whitko Golfers
The Whitko boys golf team went 1-1 in a non-conference triangular Tuesday night.
Columbia City won the match with a team total of 160. Whitko shot 189 and Churubusco 203.
Cole Bechtold led the way for the Wildcats with a 43.
Grady Clingerman shot a 46 and Will Peters a 47 for Whitko. Tim Gensch finished with a 53 and Matt Hathaway a 64 for the Wildcats.
