C. David Luckenbill
C. David Luckenbill, 74, went home to be with his lord and savior at 1:55 a.m. Sunday, April 12, 2015, Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw.
He was born on Dec. 8, 1940, in Muncie, to Lewis Franklin Luckenbill and Helen Hope (Hughey) Luckenbill. He was a 1959 graduate of Warsaw High School, Warsaw. He married Patricia “Pat” Ginter, Aug. 1, 1964, in Syracuse.
He enlisted into the United States Navy June 30, 1959, through Warsaw; served in the Vietnam War. HM3 Charles David Luckenbill was honorably discharged through Treasure Island in San Francisco, Calif.
He resided most of his life in Warsaw and was a design engineer and member of First Brethren Church, Warsaw, where he was a former Deacon.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia “Pat” Luckenbill, Warsaw; son: Chris Luckenbill, Indianapolis; daughter: Lora (Paul) Avery, Midland, Mich.; four grandchildren: Rob Spaulding, Midland, Mich.; Megan (Alex) Courtney, Midland; Avrie Luckenbill, Indianapolis; Bailey Luckenbill, Indianapolis; three great-grandchildren: Caleb, Jenica and Danika; two sisters: Donna (Kliff) Kreicker, Covington, Ky.; Dorian (Jim) Shields, Williamstown, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 16, at the funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Hunn, former pastor of First Brethren Church, Warsaw, officiating. Burial will be held in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Military honors will be conducted by Warsaw’s American Legion, Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
