Jack E. Boardman
Jack E. Boardman, 88, of Mentone, passed away at 6:41 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home, Warsaw.
Jack was born on Jan. 7, 1927 to James and Pauline Boardman in Wabash. He had been a lifelong resident of Bourbon and the last few years in Mentone.
Jack is survived by his three daughters: Mollie (Vern) Hurd, Warsaw; Helen (Tony) Tribalski, Jr., Etna Green; Julie Boardman, Fort Wayne; his two sons: Howard (Tammie) Boardman, Bourbon; and Jim Boardman, Mentone; sister: Norma O’Dell, Wabash; brother: Bill (Miriam) Boardman, Mentone and two nieces and two nephews.
Jack was owner and salesman of Boardman Chevrolet of both Mentone and Bourbon from 1955-1991 when the business was sold. He also served his country in the United States Army during World War II March 1945 – December 1946.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and great granddaughter, Mackenzie Lanae Boardman-Dausch
Individuals are invited from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015 to celebrate Jack’s life with family and friends at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home with Lee Norris, a friend, officiating.
