Samuel T. George, 81, Wabash, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at his home.

He was born to the late William and Osa (Long) George Dec. 25, 1933 in Muncie.

He was a graduate of Wabash High School. Samuel served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Diehl of Wabash, and AGP Inc., of Peru. In his later years, he spent time doing independent car sales and then retiring as the Treasurer of Eagles Lodge #549 of Wabash. He was a member of Eagles Lodge of Wabash.

He is survived by son: Sam George (Luanne), Lenexa, Kansas; three daughters: Mrs. Tony (Dana) Holmes, Wabash; Mrs. Kenneth (Laurie) White, Bluffton; Mrs. Jack (Angela) Welter, Elkhart; brother: Glenn George, Clermont, Fla.; best friend: Mary E. Morris, Wabash; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a brother: Ned George; along with his parents.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Preferred memorials are directed to Eagles Lodge #549- Charity Missions, 140 Walter St., Wabash, IN 46992.

McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash, IN 46992, will be entrusted with arrangements.
