According to a report from Inside INdiana Business, Symmetry Medical Manufacturing’s Avilla factory will be phased out.

Tecomet, who acquired Symmetry last year, reported that layoffs will start in June, with additional waves of layoffs coming later in the fall. It is also closing a facility in Massachusetts. The workload from both facilities will be consolidated into Tecomet’s other existing facilities.

A letter to the state reports that the closing will affect approximately 130 workers in Noble County.
