Phyllis J. Blosser
Phyllis J. Blosser, 90, of Nappanee, died at 11:15 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 26, 1924, in Marshall County, to Henry and Catherine (Miller) Watkins. On Feb. 23, 1946, she married Robert Wade Blosser, Milford. He preceded in death March 5, 2013.
Mrs. Blosser was a 1942 graduate of Bourbon High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Turkey Creek Church of the Brethren where she had played the piano and organ for 67 years. Phyllis enjoyed working in her garden and liked sharing with others. She was a caring, wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Blosser is survived by her daughter: Vickie (Ron) Wedel, Nappanee; sons: Dennis L. Blosser, Brad D. (Janene) Blosser, both of Nappanee; grandchildren: Matthew (Lyndi) Blosser, Adam Blosser, both of Nappanee; Nathan (Katie) Mikel, Etna Green; a step-grandchild: Robert Wedel; five great-grandchildren: Brayden and Bryce Blosser; Lauren, Ryan and Megan Mikel; brother: Ernest ( Eleanor) Watkins, North Carolina; sisters: Delores (Willard) Klotz, Nappanee; June Ganshorn, Etna Green; sister-in-laws: Eleanor Watkins, Bourbon; and Mary E. Watkins, Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by a step-grandson: Brant Wedel; brothers: Ted, Dale, Max, Robert, Harvey Watkins; and sisters: Jessie Danner, Gladys Border, Hilda Strang, Glee McDonald and Cleo Brown.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, April 6, at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, at Bethany Church of the Brethren. Officiating will be Rev. Roger Eberly and burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
