Indianapolis Selected To Host Halo Gaming Championship
The Pro Gaming League has announced that Indianapolis will host season two of the Halo Championship Series, a professional video gaming tournament centered around the Xbox game Halo.
The tournament will take place June 26 through June 28 at the Indiana Convention Center in conjunction with Indy PopCon, a gaming and pop culture convention. It will feature 64 teams of competitive video gamers from around the U.S. playing for a top prize of $50,000.
“Some of Halo’s best players and biggest fans are in the midwest, and we’re excited to be able to bring them a competition and community event they can call their own,” stated Che Chou, franchise media director at 343 Industries.
The gaming action will be broadcast live via Twitch.tv/Halo.
