IU Signs Collaboration Agreement With French School

Jean-Philippe Ammeux, director general of the IÉSEG School of Management, with IU Bloomington Provost and Executive Vice President Lauren Robel
Lauren Robel, Indiana University provost and executive vice president, signed a preliminary agreement March 23 with the IÉSEG School of Management in Paris, France, on behalf of IU’s Kelley School of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences.
The memorandum of intent for academic collaboration represents the first step toward partnerships between the school in fashion management and marketing, among other areas, and expands on an existing Kelley partnership that has allowed IU business students to be hosted at the IÉSEG Paris campus.
The new partnership would connect the IÉSEG master’s in fashion management program with IU’s arts and sciences division, as well as the IÉSEG bachelor’s in international business with the business and design programs at IU.
The collaboration is expected to lead to student exchange programs; dual degree opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students; shared academic materials; and the development of joint research, projects and programs between faculty.
“This memorandum offers IU an exciting opportunity to connect with a top-ranked fashion management program located in the fashion capital of the world,” said Robel. “We envision a partnership with IÉSEG that offers unique global experiences and academic opportunities for our students.”
The memorandum was signed by Robel and Jean-Philippe Ammeux, director general of IÉSEG. Of IÉSEG’s nearly 4,000 students, 1,435 are international students representing 85 nationalities. The school was founded in 1964 and has partnerships with 223 universities in 58 countries and 2,500 company partners.
