Fourth Arrest Made In Syracuse Murder
Ashlyn Nicole Shepard, 21, Mishawaka, was arrested around 6:30 tonight and preliminarily charged with obstruction of justice, a level 6 felony, in connection with the murder of Tara Thornburg and Joshua Knisley. Shepard was the girl friend of Kyle Dehart.
Dehart was reportedly at her residence when he was arrested on Feb. 19, on two misdemeanor charges and after Brandon Woody was arrested in a vehicle owned by Dehart’s parents, Scott and Joan.
Indiana State Troopers, at the request of detectives with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, located Shepard and took her into custody. She was transported to the St. Joseph County Jail, South Bend, where she is currently being held on the Kosciusko County warrant.
Kyle Dehart is currently being held in the Kosciusko County jail on two counts of murder, along with a felony charge of obstruction of justice. He is being held without bond.
Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney Daniel Hampton will provide more information as related to the charges against Shepard with the probable cause affidavit made available Thursday morning.
