Penn’s Buhr On Junior All-Stars
INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association has announced the Junior All-Stars girls basketball team for the 2014-15 season.
Headlining the six players chosen for the Core group is Jackie Young of Princeton. The 6-0 guard, who has committed to Notre Dame, had 36 points and 12 rebounds Saturday night to led her team past Tippecanoe Valley 72-44 in the Class 3-A state championship game.
The North Six group includes Camryn Buhr of Penn. The 5-11 forward helped the Kingsmen claim a Class 4-A sectional title.
The North group also includes Cameron Onken of Lafayette Central Catholic, Aliyah Walker of Brownsburg, Jaclyn Scaife of Muncie Central and Katelyn O’Reilly and Alexis Shannon of Noblesville.
The junior all-star team will face the Indiana All-Star squad in a pair of exhibition games. Those games will be played on June 8 and 10 at sites to be announced at a later date. The Core Six will play in both exhibition games, while the North Six will play in one and the South Six in the other.
The Indiana All-Star team will face Kentucky in the annual two-game series on June 12 in Lexington and June 13 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
