Alice R. Johnson
Alice R. Johnson, 83, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 5:43 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 54 years where she was a good housewife and attended God’s Highway to Heaven Church in Warsaw. In her younger days, Alice loved to play bingo, but more than anything she loved her family.
Alice was born on March 31, 1931 in Oakland, Calif. to Lester P. Atchison and Frances Patricia Oatley. On Feb. 14, 1961 she was married to Claude J. Johnson, who survives in Warsaw.
She also leaves behind three sons: Mike (Dawn) Johnson, South Bend, Jay (Shelley) Johnson, Warsaw, Mark Johnson, Mishawaka; one daughter: Vickie Sue Kain, Warsaw; twenty grandchildren; and twenty four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Raymond D. Bussenburg.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 9, at God’s Highway to Heaven Church, 555 W. Weber Street, Warsaw.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, and officiated by Pastor Bob Brown at God’s Highway to Heaven Church.
Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
