Karen Pence Visits Whitko High School, Presents Awards

The Whitko High School Art Department recently competed in the 45th World School Children’s Art Exhibition in the Republic of China, Taipei in order to promote mutual understanding and friendship among the younger generation of the world. Over 30,000 entries were entered in this contest.
The following sixteen Whitko students received selected medals: Lissa Baldridge, Jamie Bumbaugh, Colin Craig, Brianna Cumberland, Maddy Foutz, Katelynn Gaff, Leighandra Goodman, Michael Hough, Emily Hughes, Lance Hunt, Amy Hurd, Michael Newman, Taylor Ream, Claire Reiff, Andrea Snavley, and Aspyn Trier. The awards were presented by Karen Pence, First Lady of Indiana.
This is quite an honor considering the competition consisted of over 50 countries competing from around the world. Whitko High School art teacher Daniel Malicki is very proud of his students’ success.
