Warsaw Trio Ousted At Mishawaka
MISHAWAKA – Tuesday night was the end of the line for a trio of Warsaw boys divers at the Mishawaka Diving Regional.
After going two-three-four at the Warsaw Boys Swimming Sectional last Saturday, Tyler Paskea, Liam McCarrick and Nick Bell were again one after the other on the score sheet, but on the wrong side of qualifying for the IHSAA State Finals.
Paseka was 18th on the board with a 218, followed by McCarrick’s 181.05 and Bell’s 177.25, which rounded out the 20-diver field at Mishawaka. The top eight divers qualified for the state finals, with preliminaries beginning Saturday morning in Indianapolis.
Josh Richardson of Marian was the regional champion with a set at 478.45. Goshen’s Hudson Kay was third, Elkhart Central’s Logan Brown fourth and Goshen’s Jacob Isnogle eighth to round out the locals headed to state.
