Howe Edges LCA
HOWE – Lakeland Christian Academy put up a fight once again, but once again, came up short of the elusive first victory of the season Tuesday night. LCA could not find points in the fourth quarter in a 40-38 loss at Howe Military Academy.
LCA and Howe were deadlocked at 33 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Cougars managed just two baskets and a free throw while HMA were able to get one more basket to drop.
Connor Blum again led LCA with 13 points while Kyle Shuler and Josh McDaniel each chipped in seven points.
Gage Pinkerton scored 10 points in the first quarter and wound up the game’s leading scorer with 18 total points for Howe, which improves to 3-15 overall. Simon Williams added eight points and Eric Robinson II had seven points for the Wildcats.
LCA, now 0-21, will get one final chance to catch a win in the regular season when the Cougars host Portage Christian Friday night.
