Dorothy I. Robinson
Dorothy I. Robinson, 90, of Milford, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015, at home.
She was born on Feb. 28, 1924, to John and Catherine (Louderback) Abbott in Star City. On June 1, 1940, Dorothy married Warren W. “Bill” Robinson. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2012.
She attended Star City High School went on to work as a cook for the Tippecanoe High School for 12 years and then worked at the Lerner Dress Shop in South Bend. She retired from the dress shop in 1983 after 25 years of service. Mrs. Robinson attended the Milford United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 70 in Rochester, for over 65 years.
Surviving are her children, John (Sharon) Robinson of Lakeville and Beckie Runnells of Warsaw; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband “Bill,” and one son Bill Robinson, Jr.; a great granddaughter, Ally Davis; a sister, Jenny Bucks of Royal Center; and a half-brother, Wayne Davis of Macy.
A memorial service will be held in Mrs. Robinson’s honor at 1 p.m. Feb. 24, at Mishler Funeral Home, 461 West 900 North, Milford, IN 46542 with Pastor Rob Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery in Milford.
