CHURUBUSCO – The Whitko boys basketball team dropped an 84-52 final at Churbuco Saturday night.

The hosts led 23-19 after the opening period and 42-28 at halftime in the win.

Nate Walpole tossed in 26 points to pace the Wildcats.

River West had 17 points for Whitko. Cole Kessie had seven rebounds and Devon Adkins five for the Wildcats.

Whitko, now 6-15, plays at NorthWood Friday night in the regular-season finale.

Churubusco, which improves to 20-3, hosts Eastside Friday night.
