Vikings Notch Fifth Straight Win
AKRON – The strong play of late by the Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team continued Wednesday night.
A well-balanced offense paved the way for the host Vikings to top Bremen 64-45 in a non-conference contest.
The Vikings, who improved to 13-7 with their fifth straight win, led 15-10 after the opening quarter and 33-22 at halftime. Valley outscored the Lions 18-7 in the final period of play.
Alex Thacker continued his outstanding season with a game-high 19 points to pace coach Bill Patrick’s team to the win.
Alec Craig had 18 points and Neil Clampitt 17 for the Vikings. Chandler O’Connor added 10 points for the winners.
Ryan Topper led Bremen with 14 points.
The Lions drop to 3-16 with their 10th straight loss.
Valley plays at Triton and Bremen hosts NorthWood on Friday night.
