AKRON – Alex Thacker was dialed in from long distance Friday night.

Thacker swished through seven shots from beyond the 3-point line in leading Tippecanoe Valley past Southwood 76-49.

Thacker finished with a game-high 26 points as the Vikings won the Three Rivers Conference contest to stay unbeaten in league play.

Valley, which hit nine treys in the win, improves to 8-6 overall and goes to 3-0 in TRC action.

The hosts led 31-22 at halftime before outscoring Southwood 45-27 in the second half.

Chandler O’Connor scored 14 points for the winners. Neil Clampitt had 12 points and Alec Craig 11 for coach Bill Patrick’s squad.

Alex Harmon led Southwood, which drops to 5-8 overall and 3-1 in conference play, with 14 points.

Valley won the junior varsity game 42-37.

Valley returns to action next Friday with a TRC game at Manchester.
