Jean Jagger
Jean Jagger, 62, of Columbia City, passed away at 2:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Born Jan. 20, 1953, in Whitley County, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Riola F. (Taylor) VanWey.
Jagger graduated from Columbia City Joint High School with the Class of 1971 and graduated from Four Winds Academy with the Class of 1972. She had been a hairstylist since graduating from Four Winds and currently was at Shear Envy. Jagger enjoyed going out with friends, playing cards and golfing.
Survivors include her sons, Joel L. Jagger and Joshua E. Jagger both of Columbia City; and grandchildren, Houston Heineman, Payton and Madalyn Jagger; brother, James S. VanWey of South Whitley; and her dog, Jojo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Riola VanWey; sister, Janet K. Myers; and sister-in-law, Barbara VanWey.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, at the funeral home with Funeral Celebrant Sharon Brockhaus officiating with burial at Oak Grove Compton Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in memory of Jean to the American Cancer Society.
