Area Third/Fourth Graders Off To Mizpah Shrine Circus
It’s been a tradition for many, many years to take the third graders from the local schools to the Mizpah Shrine Circus in Fort Wayne. Wawasee Community School Corporation has been making the annual trip since the 1960s.
Last year the trip was cancelled on account of the foul weather, so this year the third and fourth graders are making the trip to the circus.
At approximately 8:40 a.m. this morning, a whole fleet of school buses from Warsaw, Triton and Tippecanoe Valley schools rendezvoused at Big R in Warsaw to begin the caravan to the circus. The convoy met up with the Wawasee buses in Pierceton and proceeded, escorted by local law enforcement, on to the big top.
Many of the schools, like Lincoln Elementary, have been hosting fun activities in preparation for the trip.
The Mizpah Shrine Circus “is a premier family entertainment extravaganza.” With clowns, exotic animals, performers and attractions, it offers a plethora of family-friendly entertainment options.
The circus is going on all weekend at the Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne. Visit mizpahshrinecircus.com for tickets or more information.
