Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
10:09 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, CR 100E and CR 550N, Warsaw. Mackenzie L. Rogers, 18, Mediterranean Avenue, Elkhart. Rogers’ vehicle slid off the right side of road hitting a road sign, stopping in the field. Damage up to $2,500
6:37 a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, North Southwind Trail, south of East Lantern Road, Warsaw. Driver: Mary E. East, 25, North Old SR 15, Warsaw. East struck a vehicle parked along the road registered to Bethany J. Prinsen, North Southwinds Trail, Warsaw. Damage up to $25,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:24 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, East CR 1200N, west of North Syracuse-Webster Road, Syracuse. Driver: Richard A. Hunsberger, 17, US 6, Syracuse. Hunsberger lost control of his vehicle, went off the road hitting a telephone pole and mailbox owned by Meredith Wamsey, East 1200N, Syracuse. Hunsberger was cited for a seat belt violation. Damage up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:26 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, East CR 225S and South Country Club Road, Winona Lake. Drivers: Tina M. Garcia, 40, East LaPoint Drive, Milford, and Shannon M. Wilson, 29, Sandra Lane, Winona Lake. Garcia through eastbound traffic had a stop sign and entered the intersection in front of the Wilson vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
12:54 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, Anchorage Road, east of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Richard A. Brown, 72, South CR 400E, LaPorte and Joshua M. Patton, 32, West Lakeside Drive, North Manchester. Patton complained of neck pain. Brown’s vehicle struck the back of the Patton vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
8:01 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, Husky Trail, Warsaw. Driver; Robert L. Tusing, 67, East CR 700N, Leesburg. Tusing’s vehicle sideswiped a parked vehicle while attempting to back into a parking space. No information on the parked vehicle was listed. Damage up to $5,000.
