Black ice caused a bit of difficulty for some motorist this morning.

A number of accidents, mostly slide offs, a few with minor injuries were reported throughout the county.

One accident occurred at 9 a.m. on SR 15 (Higbee Street) Milford, around 9 a.m. on the south edge of Milford. The driver of a PT Cruiser was northbound when it spun out on the black ice and struck the guard rail twice. The driver was checked at the scene.

Milford Town Marshal Rich Miotto asked the state highway department to apply abrasives.
