Lakeland Regional Sewer District announced the results for open bidding on the proposed seven year wastewater project recently. The project, split into sections A, B, C and wastewater plant construction, has been almost five years in the works, and expected to be completed in under two years. The month of December saw several special meetings Dec. 11, 16 and 18, in order to announce bids.

Collection system A bids were announced by Casey Erwin, and are as follows:

Advanced Rehabilitation Technology, LTD, Bryan, Ohio, $6,787,000.00; Niblock Excavating, Bristol, Ind., $8,597,322.32; Selge Construction Co., Niles, Mich., $5,965,660.60. Submitted bids were taken under advisement.

Collection system B bids were announced Dec. 16, and are as follows:

HRP Construction Inc., $7,794,907.75; Advanced Rehabilitation Technology, LTD, $6,703,252.75; Selge Construction Company, Inc., $6,177,032.75; Niblock Excavating, $7,269,696.69. Bids were taken under advisement.

Collection system C and wastewater treatment plant bids were announced Dec. 18, and are as follows:

Advanced Rehabilitation Technology, LTD, $4,858,054.27; Selge Construction Company, Inc., $5,498,637.27; Niblock Excavating, $4,859,701.27.

Bids were taken under advisement.

LRSD also announced another special meeting in order to discuss proposed sewer rates based on construction bids, request additional funding from the USDA Rural Development and review proposed rate and use ordinances.

The meeting will be held at the North Webster Community Center at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22.
