In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, city offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19. Monday’s trash route will be picked up Tuesday, Jan. 20. All other routes will remain the same.

As the winter season continues, we would like to remind you of the city’s ordinance regarding the removal of ice and snow from sidewalks.

Section 70-1 says: “The occupant, or owner if there is no occupant, of each and every building or lot within the city, fronting or bordering street, shall clean the sidewalk in front of such building or lot of all snow or ice before the hour of 9 a.m. of each day, and keep the sidewalk clear of snow and ice”.
