Florine Coffel
Florine Coffel, 99, formerly of Pennville, passed away Jan. 12, 2015, at Rawlins House Health and Living Center, Pendleton.
She was born Sept. 24, 1915, in Berne, to Jacob and Miriam Sprunger Felber.
She was a church organist for over 60 years, playing for Bluffton Evangelical Reformed Church, Pennville United Methodist Church, First Presbyterian Church in Warsaw and Portland and the Korean service for First Presbyterian Church in Fort Wayne.
In Portland, she was a member and an organist for the First Presbyterian Church for over 20 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Wayne. She was a 1933 graduate of Bluffton High School.
Surviving are a daughter, Camille (and spouse David) Wilson, Kendallville; three sons: Jeff (and spouse Kay) Coffel, Noblesville; Hal Coffel (and special friend Diane Crouse), Eaton; and George Coffel, Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home, Pennville, with the Rev. Stan Wilson officiating. Burial is in IOOF Twin Hills Cemetery, Pennville.
