Sarah Jeanette Harvuot
Sarah Jeanette Harvuot, 96, of Warsaw, passed away at 1:07 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at her residence.
Jeanette was born on March 27, 1918, in Claypool, to Ray L. Strayer and Melba Dawn (Shoemaker) Strayer. On April 22, 1939, she was married to William C. Harvuot, who passed away in 1980.
She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where she was a 1935 graduate of Claypool High School. She was a 1939 graduate of Indiana University receiving her bachelor’s degree, she then obtained her master’s degree from Purdue University and spent over 50 years working as a school teacher.
She is survived by two sons: Charles Harvuot, Warsaw; James (Kathy) Harvuot, Warsaw; daughter-in-law: Eva Harvuot, Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren: Kathryn (Timothy) Traynor, San Antonio, Texas; and Ann Harvuot, Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter: Elizabeth Harvuot; son: Thomas Harvuot; one brother and one sister.
No visitation or service is planned. Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
