Do you have plans for Valentine’s Day? If not, come spend it at the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts with two of country music’s rising stars. Kristy Lee Cook and John King will be performing; don’t miss out!
Cook kicked off her country music career by competing on American Idol’s seventh season where she made it into the top 10. Her recent single “Lookin’ for a Cowgirl” was recently featured in Rolling Stone Country and was co-written with Bridgette Tatum, a songwriter that frequently works with Jason Aldean. “We wanted to write a song that was for country girls, and this one pretty much describes me perfectly,” said Cook.
Cook will be performing with King, an artist signed to the same label as Kellie Pickler, Cook’s fellow American Idol alumna. After hard work and time spent studying a music degree at The University of Georgia, King went on to open for multiple artists including Florida Georgia Line and Brantley Gilbert. King is known for his single “Tonight Tonight” and is working on his debut album.
Tickets to see Kristy Lee Cook and John King cost $15 and are currently on sale at the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts as well as online at wagonwheeltheatre.org. There will be two performances, one at 6 p.m. followed by one at 9 p.m. For more information call (574) 267-8041.
