Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
6:28 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, South SR 15, west CR 200S, Warsaw Driver: Scott H. Clark, 58, West Maple Lane, Claypool. Clark’s vehicle struck a fuel tank in the roadway, which fell off an unknown vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
4:28 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, North Ogden Point Road, west of North Seth Ward Road, Syracuse. Driver: Jerry E. Wood, 44, North Ogden Point Road, Syracuse. Wood was driving too fast for road conditions causing his vehicle to crash into a fence, listed as owned by by Lisa M. Hill, North Ogden Point Road, Syracuse. Damage up to $2,500.
8:58 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, West CR 600N and North SR 15, Leesburg. Driver James. A. Miller, 29, West CR 825N, Leesburg. Lost control of his vehicle, went off the road into a ditch with small shrubs. Damage up to $2,500.
6:36 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, North SR 13, Syracuse. Driver: Austin A. Shrock, 24, Townline Road, Ligonier. Shrock’s vehicle slid while driving into the parking lot at Sleepy Owl, hitting a parked vehicle registered to Gary M. Tuttle, North CR 1150W, Cromwell. Damage up to $2,500.
5:48 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 7, East SR 14 ,east of South CR 700E, South Whitley. Driver: Nancy J. Alspaugh, 64, South CR 850W, South Whitley. Alspaugh provided room for an oncoming vehicle, driving onto the berm of the road, causing her to loose control. The vehicle spun around and went into a ditch. Damage up to $5,000.
3:22 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, West Old Road 30, west of West CR 300N, Etna Green. Driver: Josefina M. Cabrera, 25, North Thompson Street, Bourbon. Lost control on the snow covered roadway, went off the road, hit a mailbox. Damage up to $2,500.
9:55 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, East CR 200N and Lake City Highway, Warsaw, Drivers: Robert J. Maylone, 68, North Ball Avenue, Muncie, and Heather M. Shepherd, 28, West Pleasant Street, Etna Green. Maylone’s vehicle slid into the back of the Shepherd vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
5:13 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, North Barbee Road, north of North CR 650E, North Webster. Driver: Geoffrey M. Patrick, 39, EMS T34C Lane, Leesburg. Vehicle slid off the road, hit a tree. Damage up to $5,000.
3:43 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, South SR 19, Mentone. Drivers: Gary J. Long, 17, South CR 900W, Etna Green, and Lisa J. Hoffman, 49, East CR 400N, Rochester. Both vehicles were being driven through the Tippecanoe Valley High School parking lot when Long attempted to stop but his vehicle slid into the Hoffman vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
3:05 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, East Defreese Road, west of North CR 500E, Leesburg. Driver: Lindsey M. Tomblin, 51, EMS D18B Lane, Syracuse. Tomblin’s vehicle slid, went off the road, hitting a tree. Damage up to $10,000.
1:54 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, North CR 150E, and East CR 350N, Warsaw. Drivers: Jim E. Waid, 34, EMS B51A Lane, Warsaw, and Cesar I. Baca Rodas, 39, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Waid did not see the Rodas driven vehicle, pulling out into the path of that vehicle. When the owner of the Rodas driven vehicle arrived at the scene, authorities were told he did not have a license. He was arrested for operator never having a license. Damage up to $5,000.

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, Lake City Highway, east of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Robert S. Gholson, 49, South CR 400E, Pierceton. Vehicle hit a patch of ice, started to spin, struck a guardrail. Damage up to $10,000
6:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 7, East Center Street and South Cleveland Street, Warsaw. Driver: Stacey Y. Murphy, 39, West Van Buren Street, Chicago, Ill., and Kelly J. DeLaughter, 36, North Mill Street, North Manchester. Murphy’s vehicle slid into the back of the DeLaughter vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
4:19 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, East Market Street, west of South Detroit Street, Warsaw. Driver: Marvin P. Miller, 52, Trailside Drive, Winona Lake, and Jolene Eubanks, 28, South High Street, Warsaw. Miller was going to turn right onto Detroit Street and began passing the Eubanks vehicle on the right to enter into the turn lane but was struck by the Eubanks vehicle making a right turn into an alley. Police note the turn lanes were further eastbound on the road. Eubanks was cited for operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. Damage up to $10,000.
1:14 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, North Colfax Street, south of East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Lisa M. Armey, 44, East Island View Drive, Warsaw, and Janet L. Flannery 51, Aspen Court, Warsaw. Flannery complained of pain to the knee/lower leg/foot and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Army stopped at the intersection and failed to see the Flannery vehicle, until she entered the intersection.The impact pushed the Flannery vehicle onto the property of Eric R. Streby, 1702 E. Sheridan Street. Damage up to $50,000.
12:31 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, North Detroit Street, north of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jared O. Cooper, 32, Briar Ridge Circle, Warsaw, and Gina L. Keener, 49, West CR 700N, Leesburg. Cooper’s vehicle slid into the back of a stopped Warsaw Community School bus driven by Keener. Damage up to $1,000.
Winona Lake
4:11 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, East Pierceton Road, east of East Wade Road, Winona Lake. Drivers: Elizabeth A. Sikora, 45, North First Street, Pierceton, and Tonya R. Cardin, 46, East Prestwick Road, Winona Lake. Sikora’s vehicle slid into the back of the Cardin vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
