LCA Closes Out Classic With A Loss
WINONA LAKE – It just was not meant to be for the Lakeland Christian Academy girls basketball team.
The Lady Cougars found themselves in a 35-19 hole with just five minutes remaining in their game against Covenant Christian and quickly worked the deficit down to nine points before Covenant would close out the game. Covenant won the game 41-32 to finish out the 2015 LCA Classic with a perfect 3-0 mark.
LCA was led by a stellar performance from Hannah Delp. The junior led the team with 15 points and added five rebounds. Melissa Goss added six points for the Lady Cougars and four rebounds. Rachel Sand led the team with nine rebounds.
LCA finishes the Classic with a 1-2 record. LCA (4-9) will take the court again Thursday at Elkhart Christian.
