Oscar L. Weaver
Oscar L. Weaver, 90, of Bremen passed away on Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth.
He was born on Sept. 15, 1924, to Joseph and Jennie (Warren) Weaver in Nappanee. Oscar married Janet Y. Farrington on June 13, 1942.
Weaver honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Herrmann DD532. He was very proud of his service and was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. Oscar retired from Mutschler Brothers Co. in Nappanee after working there for many years.
He is survived by a daughter, Diana K. (James E.) Hawkins, and a son, Roger A. Weaver, both of Bremen. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Janet.
Friends may call on from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the funeral home. Pastor Jaree Kratzer will officiate.Memorial contributions may be given to the Bremen Church of God.
