Charles “Sonny” Gross, Syracuse, will celebrate his 75th birthday Jan. 7.

Gross preaches at the Pacific Garden Mission once a month and still logs and drives truck. His hobby is working with his tractors.

His family will hold a surprise open house from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 10, at Grace Bible Baptist Church, 68080 Division St., New Paris.
