Hatch Keeps Perfect Mat Record Intact
MISHAWAKA – Kyle Hatch continued his perfect wrestling season in a big way Tuesday.
The Warsaw sophomore standout went 3-0 in the power-packed Al Smith Invitational at Mishawaka High School.
Hatch advanced to the final day of the tourney on Wednesday by winning all three of his matches by pins on Tuesday at 120 pounds.
Hatch, who placed eighth at the State Finals as a freshman, is now a perfect 20-0 on the season.
Warsaw senior Rory Nolin picked up a big win over the No. 5 seeded wrestler in his class. Nolin did not advance to the second day of competition after going 2-2 on Tuesday. Nolin is now 19-2 on the season.
Andrew Brock and Kameron Hile each also went 2-2 for the Tigers Tuesday.
