Congresswoman Jackie Walorski has announced her committee assignments to the 114th Congress. She will serve on the House Committee on Agriculture and chair the Nutrition Subcommittee and remain on the House Armed Services Committee and House Veterans’ Affairs Committee.

“With more than 14 million acres of farmland across Indiana, I am honored to represent Hoosiers on a committee that impacts their everyday lives and I’m extremely excited to serve as chairwoman of the Nutrition Subcommittee,” said Walorski.

The subcommittee has jurisdiction regarding agency oversight, special investigations, food stamps, and nutrition and consumer programs.

In addition to her new committee assignment, Walorski expressed her enthusiasm to continue serving on HASC and HVAC. “I’m so proud of the work both committees were able to accomplish in the last two years including maintaining the world’s strongest military and passing meaningful reforms to ensure our nation’s 20 million veterans receive the care they deserve.”

Committees will begin meeting following the opening session of the 114th Congress which is scheduled for the first week in January.
