Creighton Brothers Make Sizeable Donation to Purdue
Creighton Brothers farm in Atwood, Ind., announced a $5 million pledge to Purdue University
Creighton Brothers Vice President Mindy Truex Creighton tells Inside INdiana Business the donation was made to honor company founders Hobart and Russell Creighton. She stated the donation will give students a chance to learn of the Creighton brothers’ legacy.
Founded almost 90 years ago, Creighton Brothers have supplied eggs to the Purdue campus for the last 40 years.
Purdue University will have more details on the specific use of the donation after the General Assembly makes funding decisions next year. The school is in the process of procuring state funding for a new animal sciences building, and the Creighton Brothers’ donation is expected to go towards the new building.
