Pilots Prevail For League Win
SPRING ARBOR, MI – The sixth-ranked Bethel College men’s basketball team topped host Spring Arbor 81-56 Saturday in Crossroads League play.
Matt Schauss canned 20 points to pace the Pilots, who improve to 11-1 overall and 2-1 in conference action.
Sophomore Clay Yeo continued his outstanding play for the Pilots. The former Triton High School star scored 19 points. Yeo hit 3-6 from distance and also had five rebounds, two assists and two steals for Bethel.
Bethel led 41-30 at halftime before outscoring Spring Arbor 40-26 in the final half.
Zach Miller had 17 points and Ryan Wassink 10 for the Pilots. Bethel shot 30-55 from the field, including 8-21 on 3-pointers.
Bethel hosts Saint Joseph’s College on Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. in Mishawaka.
