Greetings from North Webster Chamber of Commerce and wishing that everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend filled with family time and shopping. It is the beginning of the Christmas season and remember to shop local and help support your small businesses in town.

The Santa visit for the kids was a huge success as the kids enjoyed playing games, decorated sugar cookies and got their pictures with Santa. Afterwards the parade was held and the tree was lit while families enjoyed the lawn decorations of the sleigh with reindeer and the nativity set.

It saddens me to report our beautiful nativity set got broken into several small pieces during that wind strorm on Monday. As we all enjoyed this Nativity set last year and had many wonderful comments of appreciation for putting one up, we would like to ask for donations to replace this set, you can mail a check to NWTTCC PO Box 19, North Webster, IN 46555 or you can bring it to Sue’s Creations. We appreciate all the donations and support everyone has given.

To replace the set, I had given The Paper wrong amount, as the company has informed me I looked at the wrong size. To replace our four pieces it would cost $1,621 or to buy a new fiberglass set (which new for this year and much more brilliant in color) it cost $2,195 plus $275 in shipping.

The chamber also has the opportunity to buy a teo-year-old prelit 24-foot tree to display during the Christmas season at a very good price. So as you can see we need your donations to help make all this possible, so far we have four generous donors and received $1,050.

The annual Chamber Christmas dinner is Dec. 8 at the Tippecanoe Township Building, social hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Grill n Grate is providing the meal. Hope to see everyone there for a fun evening and socializing.

The 2015 membership applications have been mailed out with your Christmas invites. The applications are on our website, northwebster.com and we have also sent them to everyone via email. We appreciate your support and hope to continue to serve our business and local people. There is an early bird discount on the application, check it out.

December business of the month is Pilcher Shoes, thank you to Bob and his staff for their continued support to NW Chamber. Thank you for the use of your lawn for Dixie Day, Christmas Decorations, use of the tree and also for storing all those bags of shoes.
