Footlight Theatre
Grant Fitch brings his one-man performance of A Christmas Carol to Footlight Theatre in Michigan City on Sunday, Dec. 7. Thrill to this classic tale of laughter, chills and redemption in Charles Dickens’ own words, the original version of the scenes you’ve seen again and again in film, and the bits you’ve never seen, like what Scrooge thought of his old girlfriend’s new husband, what really happened at his nephew’s party, and the horrifying revelations of the Future!
Fitch, of Highland, has been performing his one-man Christmas Carol for more than a decade. In 90 minutes, he plays all the characters you’re familiar with, and some you may have never seen – more than 30 in all, each one distinct in this fast-paced adaptation. You’ll swear the stage is full of people.
Fitch is an acclaimed and versatile actor, having portrayed roles as diverse as Henry Higgins, Renfield, Sherlock Holmes and Charlie Brown. He is a winner of multiple NIETF awards, including for “Same Time Next Year” on the Footlight stage, and is also a professional storyteller for children and adults.
The show begins at 6:30 p.m. All tickets are $10. Call the Footlight box office at (219) 874-4035 or visit our website at footlightplayers.org to reserve tickets.
Footlight Theater is located at 1705 Franklin St., Michigan City.
