Warsaw XC Runs At Midwest Regional

TERRE HAUTE – Warsaw’s girls cross country team got to taste a bigger piece of the pie Nov. 16 when many of the roster ran in the Nike Midwest Regional meet.
‘The Saw’ team consisted of Allison Miller, Hannah Dawson, Anna Craig, Brooke Rhodes, Mia Beckham, Claire Kehler, Charlene Orr, Lauren Orr, Hannah Thompson and Mallory Hooks.
The girls gained valuable racing experience against the top teams from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Missouri. The girls also had the opportunity to meet professional Mmerican distance runner Chris Derrick.
In the Girls Championship race, ‘The Saw’ placed 27th out of 30 teams. Warsaw’s Allison Miller led the team with a time of 19:10 and 65th place. Hannah Dawson followed up at 19:33, Brooke Rhodes at 20:07, Anna Craig at 20:39 and Mia Beckham at 20:55.
In the Open Race, ‘The Saw’ placed 16th out of 25 teams paced by Lauren Orr at 20:23 and 39th place overall. Charlene Orr timed in at 21:00, Claire Kehler at 21:18, Hannah Thompson at 21:20 and Mallory Hooks at 22:17.
