Lamppost Decorating Contest Winners Announced

The Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce sponsored a lamppost decorating contest. In this year’s contest, 13 businesses and organizations participated .
Judging for the contest was on Monday and prizes were given to first place through third place. Awards were free or discounted chamber membership.
First Place
NAPA Auto Parts took first place with its “Peanuts”-themed display featuring Charlie Brown, Linus and Snoopy as they wait for the great pumpkin. They will receive a one year free chamber membership.
Second Place
Parker Hannifin’s lamppost display came in second place. It features pumpkins and ghosts and highlights information about the company. They will receive a one year half-priced membership.
Third Place
“Shop Till You Drop” was the lamppost display by The Revolving Closet. It featured pumpkins and a smashed witch. They receive a one year discounted membership.
Honorable Mention
Babes & Combs’ display featured pumpkins decorated by cosmetology students at Fairfield Junior-Senior High School.
Other participants in this years contest included Key Bank, Dollar General, Cub Scouts Pack 3828, Miller’s Merry Manor, Penguin Point, Cool Beans, Lakeland Youth Center, Todd Realty and Oakwood Resort.
