Peggy Ann Keeton, 76, Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014, at her residence.

She was born on Dec. 7, 1937, in Warsaw to Hazen Orlo Shideler and Emmalu Elizabeth (Finkenbiner) Shideler. On July 22, 1956, she was married to James Paris Keeton, who survives in Warsaw.

She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., where she worked at L.M. Berry, Western Union, Lake City Bank, and she was also a school bus driver for Warsaw Community Schools. She loved her kids on the school bus, enjoyed boating and softball games, as well as being an assistant softball coach. Peggy attended Warsaw Wesleyan Church, a loving wife and mother and was friendly to all she met. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

She also leaves behind three daughters: Brenda (Kenneth) Wright, (Warsaw), Jodi (Kevin) Gilbert, Warsaw, and Janice (Michael) Cook, Fort Wayne; six grandchildren: Staci (Thomas) Young, Warsaw, Stephen Wright, Bloomington, Minn., Gene (Kailyn) Garver, Warsaw, Christian Garver, Warsaw, Noah and Micah Cook, both of Fort Wayne; three step-grandchildren: Beth (T.J.) Barrus; Anthony (Johannah) Gilbert; Timothy Gilbert, all of Warsaw; one great-grandchild: Jayden Young; two step-great-grandchildren: Constantine and MacKenzie Barrus, both of Warsaw; and her brother: Max (Cophine) Shideler, Muncie, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Monna Goon and her great-granddaughter: Adrienne Young.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.

Her funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Reverend Richard Gilbert. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
