Ann Peperak will be the featured artist at the Warsaw City Hall Art Gallery Foyer for the next 2 1/2 months. Her work will be on display daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. This gallery is open to the public and free.
Peperak recently won another prestigious award in August of 2014 for her “best reflection of Wellfield Gardens in Elkhart” watercolor.
This artist has grown in stature after switching to a part-time position at the dental lab owned by the Peperaks. A resident of the local area, Peperak makes her home on Camelot of the Lakes near Milford with her husband John.
Peperak has continued to grow as an artist under the tutelage of such talents as Terry Armstrong, Sandy Mauldin, Joe Fettingers, Stephen Blackburn, and Rob O’Dell. Outside of these influences Peperak absorbs art instruction from books, CDs and remains largely self-taught.
Peperak’s award-winning work has ended up in several states, a few foreign countries and corporation offices where it is gratefully appreciated. With several tent shows per season along with gallery shows and exhibits, Peperak stays very busy. Lakeland Art Association, The Forum Group, and Midwest Museum of Art in Elkhart all count her is a member.
Peperak says of herself: “The good Lord has given me several second chances with life so each day I am thankful and try to see as much of the beauty around me as possible. I draw my inspiration from nature, flowers, travel and anything I think will bring back many good memories. I like people to have those fond memories when they look at one of my paintings. I have no set boundaries for what I paint and hope that others will like the subjects I select.”
