Main on Main Hosting Open Practice
Ever wanted to try improv? Want to find out more about it? Just like to laugh?
Main on Main Improv Troupe, a performing comedy improv group based in Syracuse, is excited to announce that they are going to be opening their practices once a month to the public. Main and Main wants to invite anyone, ages 18 and above, who is interested in improv to come join them on these nights.
Open Practice nights will be nights where anyone can “sit in” on one of Main on Main’s regular practices. No prior acting experience necessary.
Main on Main member Todd Lucas explains, “We want this to be a fun, no-pressure experience for anyone who has an interest in comedy, acting and improv. Visitors can come and watch, or jump right in and join the fun. This is a great way to get your feet wet and start to learn what improv is about.”
Open Practice nights will be held the first Tuesday of each month (starting Tuesday, Oct. 7) at the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce, at 110 1/2 East Main Street, uptown Syracuse from 6-8 p.m.
Additionally, Main on Main will be holding its next free show on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce in Syracuse. The show is free and open to the public. Doors will open a few minutes before showtime.
