NORTH WEBSTER – Rain Makers survived the hot and humid conditions Saturday to take the North Webster Community Center’s 10th anniversary beach volleyball tournament.

They won their first two matches in sweeps and awaited the survivors from the losers bracket. Spike-Opotomus, which was defeated by Rain Makers earlier in the day, needed three games to defeat third-place finisher Almost Dangerous 21-17, 16-21, 17-15. The rematch between Rain Makers and Spike-Opotomus showed that Spike had little left in their tanks for the title match as they fell 21-9, 21-9 to the 2014 champions.

The Rain Makers team consisted of Rachel Bowers, Jamie Bowers, Lisa Setser and Nathan Setser.
