Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department
Officers of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department recently investigated the following accident:
Sunday, Aug. 24, 9:18 p.m. West 1350 North and North 1025 West, Nappanee. Driver: Wanda J. Miller, 44, West 1100 North, Nappanee. Miller was not able to provide police with an account of the accident. Witness James Bontrager told police he was on his porch when Miller failed to stop at the T intersection. The vehicle ran through a fence and bushes and came to rest in the barnyard. Evidence at the scene suggested alcohol and a high rate of speed were involved. Toxicology results are pending. Damages: up to $25,000
North Webster Police Department
Officers of the North Webster Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Sunday, Aug. 24, 1:53 p.m. North SR 13 and Epworth Forest Road. Driver: James L. Mitchell, 50, EMS D21A Lane, Syracuse. Mitchell was turning onto Epworth Forest Road when he heard a scraping sound underneath his motorcycle. He then ran off of the road into a grassy area. Damages: up to $2,500
Warsaw Police Department
Officers of the Warsaw Police Department recently investigated the following accident:
Sunday, Aug. 24, 2:20 p.m. 504 Ross Ave. Driver: Jeffrey A. Nette, 55, Ross Avenue, Warsaw. Nette backed into a parked vehicle. Damages: up to $5,000
