Denham Murder Has Ties In Warsaw
(EDITOR’S NOTE: Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department could not be reached for information at the time of this posting. We will update the information when we speak to PCSD.)
Julie Kline was concerned when Amber Taylor didn’t show up for work on Monday morning. The 34-year-old Taylor lived in Denham but commuted to Warsaw every day for her job as director of events at the Trinity School of Natural Health.
“She did not show up for work, which was very unusual,” says Kline. “She always texted, or called, or emailed if she was running a little bit late.”
Kline called Taylor’s mother, Tery Bigley of Culver. Bigley could not reach her either. Even more concerned, Kline called Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department on Monday afternoon. “They said they’d like to call me back,” Kline tells StaceyPageOnline.com.
PCSD deputies found Taylor’s body in her bedroom after investigating a 911 call on Monday morning, according to WKVI News. She was reportedly strangled to death.
Taylor’s live-in boyfriend, 39-year-old Paul Katschke, was immediately brought in for questioning and put in jail. On Wednesday afternoon, Katschke was officially charged with murder. He remains in jail with no bond.
Katschke was appointed a public defender. He is to appear in court on Oct. 14.
“So many friends are just in shock,” says Kline, who has been in contact with PCSD since the incident. “She loved life. She was an amazing employee. She had recently been promoted.”
Taylor’s obituary has been posted HERE for friends in the Warsaw area. More information on this will be posted when it is made available.
