Bruce Edward Hazelton
Bruce Edward Hazelton, 53, of Ligonier, Ind., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday Aug. 3, 2014, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 28, 1960, to Charles and Elizabeth (Damon) Hazelton in Defiance, Ohio. On Oct. 25, 1986, he married Leah Elliott in Ligonier.
Bruce worked for Burnworth zollars in Ligonier for 16 years and was a member of the Ligonier United Methodist Church. He loved to work outdoors, play golf and spend time with his family. Foremost, Bruce was a dedicated family man that took great pride in his family and his home
He is survived by his wife: Leah Hazelton, Ligonier; a son: Patrick (Michelle) Hazelton, Warsaw, Ind.; mother: Elizabeth Sanford, Ligonier; four siblings: Brian (Jill) Hazelton, Hamlet, Ind.; Greg (Judy) Sanford, St. Louis, MO; Russ (Carolyn) Sanford, Shelbyville, Ind.; Sue Larkin, LaGrange, Ga; and his mother and father-in-law: Jan (Patrick) Elliott.
He was preceded in death by his fathers: Charles Hazelton and Kenneth Sanford.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday Aug. 7, at Yeager Funeral Home. A funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier. Pastors Byron Kaiser and Johnny McCallister will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Cromwell-Kimmell Lions Club or the American Legion Post 243 in Ligonier.
