Library Offers the Good, the Bad, the Weird
Silly Safaris is bringing some animals for a weird show, so they say. Angie Cat is bringing a variety of animals as Silly Safaris returns for a touch and feel animal celebration. Families are invited to meet about six animals at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15.
Teens, are you ready for a zombie apocalypse? The final party for young people will last 2 hours and will include trivia, scavenging, dressing the part for camouflage and dancing to Thriller. Teens are encouraged to join the last group event of the summer at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Bring your zombie gear or use our make-up to look the part.
Thursday’s Tea time is all about the things that are good and bad and telling the difference. Miss Suzy will share food, stories and a craft. No registration is required but come early at 2 p.m. July 17.
Reading Out Loud Continues
The Syracuse children’s department has a great line-up of volunteers. Each Wednesday children can practice their reading with a teacher. Retired teachers, Janet Laudeman, Sue Ann King, Judy Rowe, and Tim Yeager are available to listen and help read stories. Deb Stahly also comes on Wednesdays even though she will be returning to the classroom this fall. Echo the dog comes to be read to from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays.
The library is showing two more weeks of movies on Friday mornings at 10 a.m. Information and questions may be answered by calling 574-457-3022.
